Arifin Shuvoo Injured by Fire During Filming of Malik

The production of the upcoming action film Malik is taking place discreetly at a remote location outside Dhaka. Despite the unit’s efforts to maintain secrecy, several clips from the shoot have already surfaced on social media, drawing attention to the project ahead of its scheduled release during the Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

Reports have now emerged that leading actor Arifin Shuvoo sustained an injury while filming an intense action sequence. Sources within the production team revealed that the scene involved controlled flames applied to the lower part of Shuvoo’s body, with all necessary safety preparations reportedly in place.

However, during filming, the flames unexpectedly spread to his leg, quickly escalating in intensity. Eyewitnesses described how the actor initially attempted to extinguish the fire himself, but the flames persisted. Overcome by the heat, Shuvoo collapsed, prompting crew members to intervene and douse the fire. Despite their swift action, he sustained visible burn marks on his leg.

Following the incident, director Saif Chandan temporarily halted filming. Nevertheless, Shuvoo insisted on continuing the shoot after receiving initial medical treatment, completing all scheduled scenes for the day. Sources confirm that he continues to participate in regular shooting, demonstrating remarkable resilience despite his injury.

When approached for comment, the director declined to provide a formal statement regarding the incident.

Malik stars Arifin Shuvoo opposite Bidya Sinha Mim, with a script written by Siddiq Ahmed. The film is being eagerly anticipated by audiences, particularly given its planned release during Eid-ul-Fitr, and the production team is reportedly working to ensure that the action sequences are delivered safely and spectacularly.
