Renowned band Ashes is adding a unique musical dimension to this year’s Eid celebrations with the release of two highly anticipated albums: Illusions and Featherless Bird. Illusions features nine tracks, while Featherless Bird contains eight. On the night of the new moon, one track from each album will debut, with the remaining songs released weekly, creating a sustained musical experience for fans.
Many of the songs included in these albums were composed over the past eight to ten years. While some had previously been performed in concerts, this marks the first time they are officially included in an album. In addition, a special Eid song will be released as part of Ashes’ humanitarian initiative, with all proceeds directed to charitable causes.

Music Beyond Material Pleasure
Junayed Evan, the band’s lead vocalist, explained, “These albums are an exploration of musical ideas and thematic daring. True happiness is not material; it is mental. Modern life encourages excessive indulgence, yet genuine joy comes from connecting with nature—gazing at the sky, feeling the rain, experiencing moonlight, and sharing laughter.” He added, “The music also reflects existential questions and personal struggles, making it both intimate and universal.”
Innovative Concerts and Listening Experiences
Following Eid, Ashes will host a series of unique concerts and listening sessions in naturally scenic locations such as mountain ranges and coastal areas. Evan elaborated, “Our audience will not just hear the songs; they will understand the stories behind each track and actively participate in the overall experience.”
