In an urgent communique released on Saturday, 28 February 2026, the embassy underscored the necessity of avoiding high-risk areas. Bangladeshi nationals are strictly advised to steer clear of all military installations, airbases, and strategic infrastructure, which have increasingly become targets in the current theatre of war.
The embassy’s guidance emphasises a policy of “shelter-in-place,” suggesting that individuals remain within their residences or designated safe zones unless travel is absolutely essential. Until the immediate threat of aerial bombardment or retaliatory strikes subsides, non-essential movement across Qatari territory is strongly discouraged.
Emergency Preparedness Checklist
To ensure readiness for any further escalation, the mission has instructed the diaspora to maintain an “emergency go-bag.” This kit should contain essential documentation and survival items to facilitate rapid movement or medical necessity.
