BRAC Bank Opens Modern Motijheel Branch

BRAC Bank has formally inaugurated its relocated and expanded Motijheel Branch, unveiling a modern, customer-focused facility in the heart of Bangladesh’s principal commercial district. The upgraded branch, designed to enhance service efficiency and client experience, reflects the bank’s broader strategy of strengthening its physical distribution network in high-value business zones.

The new premises are situated on the second floor of Rupayan Red Crescent Tower at 86–87 Motijheel Commercial Area, Dhaka. The inauguration ceremony, held on 9 February 2026, was attended by senior executives of the bank. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Selim R. F. Hussain—represented at the event by Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan—officially opened the branch. Also present were Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Distribution Network Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Senior Zonal Head (South) Taher Hasan Al Mamun, Senior Zonal Head (North) A. K. M. Tareq, along with other high-ranking officials.

According to the bank, the relocated branch has been purpose-built to deliver a seamless and secure banking environment. The interior layout emphasises operational efficiency, privacy, and technology-enabled services. Dedicated relationship management desks have been installed to provide personalised financial advisory support, particularly for corporate and high-net-worth clients operating in the Motijheel area.

Among the enhanced facilities are a spacious premium banking lounge, secure locker services, and improved transaction counters designed to reduce waiting times. The branch incorporates advanced digital banking infrastructure to facilitate faster processing and integrated services across multiple channels.

Motijheel remains the epicentre of Bangladesh’s financial and corporate activities, housing numerous banks, insurance companies, regulatory authorities, and corporate headquarters. Establishing a larger and more sophisticated branch in this location aligns with BRAC Bank’s long-term expansion and competitiveness strategy, particularly in segments characterised by high commercial throughput.

At present, BRAC Bank operates 310 branches and sub-branches nationwide. In parallel with its physical footprint, the bank continues to invest in digital platforms, including internet banking and app-based financial services, thereby offering a hybrid service model that combines in-person advisory capabilities with digital convenience.
