Child Murder in Pallabi Shocks Capital

A seven-year-old girl was tragically killed in a residential area of Pallabi, Dhaka, in a violent incident that has sent shockwaves through the neighbourhood. The incident took place at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday (19 May) in Block B of Section-11, Pallabi.

The victim has been identified as Lamisa (7), daughter of Abdul Hannan Molla. According to police officials, she was fatally attacked inside the locality under circumstances that are currently under active investigation.

Police from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mirpur Division confirmed the incident. Deputy Commissioner Md Mostak Sarkar stated that preliminary findings suggest that Sohail (32), a tenant in a nearby flat, is suspected of carrying out the killing. However, he was not found at the scene after the incident.

Authorities have detained Sohail’s wife in connection with the case for questioning. Law enforcement officials believe her questioning may provide important leads regarding the whereabouts of the suspect and the sequence of events leading up to the incident.
