The City IT Mega Fair 2025, one of Bangladesh’s biggest technology exhibitions, will officially open tomorrow at the BCS Computer City in Agargaon, Dhaka. Organised under the slogan ‘Power of Technology, Progress of Youth’, the fair will run for six days, concluding on 13 December. The event aims to highlight the role of youth in digital advancement while making the latest technology more accessible to the public.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on the ground floor of the Computer City complex. Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) President Mohamed Zahurul Islam will attend as the chief guest. A colourful ceremony featuring cultural performances, special guests and a technology showcase will mark the beginning of the fair.
The annual fair has established itself as a highly anticipated event for both consumers and retailers. Visitors will be able to enjoy a vast range of offers, including guaranteed gifts, special discounts and attractive cashback on various tech purchases. From laptops and gaming accessories to networking devices and smart gadgets, retailers are preparing deal packages designed to appeal to every segment of the market.
A major attraction of this year’s fair will be the entertainment segment. Visitors can participate in daily raffle draws, enjoy live concerts, and engage with popular tech content creators at the Tech Celebrity Hangout sessions. Organisers say the fair is not just a shopping destination but an interactive technology festival suitable for families, students and professionals alike.
On 12 December, the fair will host the Gigabyte Children’s Art Competition, starting at 10:00 am. This special event aims to blend creativity with technology by encouraging young children to express themselves artistically in a vibrant and supportive environment. The competition has grown in popularity over the years, and organisers expect a record number of participants in 2025.
A strong lineup of international technology giants will participate in the event, including ASUS, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Epson, LDNIO and TP-Link. These brands will display their newest innovations ranging from high-performance laptops and gaming equipment to smart home devices and professional-grade printers. Additionally, major partner brands such as Walton, Dell, Deepcool, Acer, Bitrack and T&V will also showcase their products, strengthening the fair’s diversity and scale.
The City IT Mega Fair provides a crucial platform for introducing newly launched products to consumers while enabling retailers to reach thousands of potential buyers. Over the years, the event has significantly contributed to raising technology awareness and supporting Bangladesh’s progress toward a more digitally equipped society. This year’s theme particularly highlights the role of the younger generation in shaping the nation’s technological future.
Retailers and organisers are anticipating high footfall throughout the week, especially during afternoons and weekends. With heavy promotions, energetic events and a broad selection of tech products, the 2025 edition is expected to surpass previous years in visitor engagement and overall sales.
