Content maker Al Amin burnt while filming taken to Dhaka

Al Amin (40), a social media content creator from Gauripur, Mymensingh, known for his humorous and mixed reality videos, sustained severe burns while filming a fire-related sequence last Friday morning. He is currently receiving specialised treatment at the burn unit of BIRDEM Hospital in Dhaka.

The incident occurred during the filming of a scene in which Al Amin intended to bathe while warming himself near flames at an artificial reservoir located near the Dariyapur brickfield area in Gauripur. Petrol had been poured into the water for effect, but the fire flared far higher than anticipated, burning multiple parts of his body. According to his assistants, approximately 35–40 percent of his body suffered burns.

He was initially rescued and taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Given the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to BIRDEM Hospital’s specialised burn unit in Dhaka for advanced care. Video footage captured at the time shows Al Amin attempting to extinguish the flames by jumping into the water, but he could not completely avoid the burns.

Content commentator Azad Hossain Jony confirmed that Al Amin is currently in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under close medical supervision, with doctors making every effort to treat his injuries. Meanwhile, his assistant, Subal Chandra Adhikari, has requested the public to keep him in their prayers during this critical period.

The news of the accident has spread rapidly on social media, with fans and followers posting messages wishing him a speedy recovery. Al Amin’s situation has sparked discussions about safety measures during content production, particularly when dealing with hazardous materials like fire or petrol.
