Defeat Anti-Independence Forces Through Ballot, Urges Nipun Ray

Advocate Nipun Ray Chowdhury, a member of the BNP’s Central Executive Committee and General Secretary of the Dhaka District BNP, has emphasised the urgent need to resist anti-independence forces through the democratic process of voting. He asserted that these forces have repeatedly obstructed the nation’s hard-won independence and the principles of democracy.

“To defeat these detrimental powers, it is imperative that citizens exercise their right to vote wisely,” Nipun Ray said. “Only a government chosen through the people’s mandate can steer the country on the correct path.”

He made these remarks on Thursday evening, 18 December, at 8:00 pm, during the Shri Shri Tarakbrahma Mahanaam Yajna held at the Shri Shri Radha Madhav Ji Temple in Rajendrapur Bagher Nagar, under South Keraniganj Police Station.

Nipun Ray Chowdhury underscored that conspiracies surrounding elections will achieve nothing. “The elections scheduled for February will proceed, and no one can prevent them,” he declared. He reminded the audience that those who opposed Bangladesh’s independence in 1971 continue to undermine the nation today. “The nation cannot expect progress from them. Anti-independence elements and war criminals will not serve the interests of the people. Electing the BNP, however, will ensure development for the country,” he added.

Highlighting future welfare initiatives, he announced, “Should the BNP be elected by the people in the upcoming polls, family cards will be issued in the name of women in every household. These cards will facilitate the purchase of essential goods, empowering families economically.”

He also urged voters in the constituency to support Goyeshwar Chandra Ray, the BNP candidate symbolised by the ‘paddy sheaf,’ ensuring victory at the next election.

Criticising religious opportunists, he remarked, “Those misleading citizens with promises of heavenly rewards, who are anti-independence and fail to ensure women’s safety, must be rejected through the ballot.” Nipun Ray praised Tarique Rahman for his consistent efforts towards women’s empowerment, noting that his commitments have not merely been promises but have been actively implemented.

The event saw participation from prominent local leaders, including Tegharia Union Parishad Chairman Haji Lat Mia, Dhaka District Krishak Dal Convener Jewel Molla, South Keraniganj Thana Jubo Dal Joint Convenor Selim Mollah, religious figures, and a large gathering of devotees.
