DGFI officer killed in clash with drug traffickers at Tambru border: ISPR, During an altercation with drug dealers at the Tambru border in the Bandarban area, a Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) official was killed and a member of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) sustained injuries.

An Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) report today stated that a DGFI officer accepted death and a RAB soldier was hurt by bullets fired by the narcoses during the fight in the area within Bangladesh on Monday.

According to the report, the RAB and DGFI were executing a coordinated anti-drug drive there when they came into conflict with the drug smugglers. The RAB man was hurt as the narcoses fired during the altercation, and the on-duty DGFI officer was slain.

The deceased DGFI officer was identified in the release as a Bangladesh Air Force member.
