Dhaka Capitals Assistant Coach Dies After Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Mahbub Ali Zaki, the assistant coach of Dhaka Capitals, passed away after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest at the venue, sending shockwaves through Bangladesh’s cricketing community.

The incident occurred approximately twenty minutes before the scheduled start of Dhaka Capitals’ match against Rajshahi Warriors. As players from both teams were engaged in routine warm-up sessions in front of their respective dressing rooms, members of the coaching staff were also present on the field. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was administered on the field before he was swiftly transported by ambulance to Al Haramain Hospital in Sylhet. In an official statement, Dhaka Capitals later confirmed that Zaki had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Despite the best efforts of the attending medical professionals, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead due to a cardiac complication.
