The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a formal directive to candidates provisionally recommended for various cadre positions under the Freedom Fighter Quota in the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations. In a notification released on Monday, 23 February, the Ministry outlined the mandatory requirements for the verification of credentials, marking a critical step toward the finalisation of their appointments.
Mandatory Verification Process
As part of the standard vetting procedure for civil service recruitment, candidates who claimed eligibility through the legacy of the nation’s 1971 Liberation War must now provide authenticated proof. The Ministry has requested all provisionally selected candidates to submit their Freedom Fighter Certificates and associated records for rigorous scrutiny.
To facilitate this, candidates are required to complete a prescribed form and attach all relevant supporting documentation. These materials must reach the designated branch of the Ministry of Public Administration no later than 2 March 2026. Submissions can be made either via registered post or delivered in person during official working hours.
Context of the 45th BCS Appointments
The recruitment cycle for the 45th BCS (2022) reached a significant milestone late last year. On 27 November 2025, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) released the final results, recommending a diverse cohort of meritorious individuals to serve in the nation’s administrative, police, and foreign services, among others.
| Recruitment Milestone | Date / Quantity |
| Final Results Published | 27 November 2025 |
| Total Candidates Recommended | 1,807 |
| Documentation Deadline | 2 March 2026 |
| Submission Method | Registered Post or In-person |

Ensuring Transparency in Recruitment
This verification phase is essential to ensure the integrity of the quota system. By cross-referencing certificates with the official database of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, the government aims to prevent any fraudulent claims and ensure that the benefits of the quota are reserved for the genuine descendants of the nation’s heroes.
Failure to submit the required documentation within the stipulated timeframe may result in the cancellation of the provisional recommendation. Candidates are advised to ensure that all photocopies are duly attested and that the information provided matches the details submitted during the initial application process.
