Singer Fariha Farahi has released her latest original song, ‘Moyna Re’, marking another step in her efforts to develop her own music and creative work. Farahi wrote the lyrics, composed the music and provided the vocals for the song, while Shovon Roy handled the musical arrangement.

The track was mixed and mastered at Awan Studio. A music video has also been produced, directed by Mahtim Shakib, with choreography by Dhaka Dance Company.

The song and video have been designed with general listeners and viewers in mind, with an emphasis on a simple, lively and accessible presentation. Rather than relying on an elaborate concept, the production seeks to keep the performance engaging while bringing together Farahi’s singing and her interest in dance.

Speaking about ‘Moyna Re’, Farahi said she plans to continue working regularly on songs written and composed by herself. She is interested in exploring ideas that offer something different and hopes to develop new approaches through her future projects.

Although Farahi has received formal training in music, her connection with dance developed largely through personal effort and enthusiasm. She says she sometimes enjoys dancing even more than singing and feels that dance allows her to discover another side of herself.

Farahi’s professional journey has also taken a distinctive path. She completed 12 years of service in the Bangladesh Air Force and is now involved in running her own business. Alongside her professional responsibilities, she wants to give music a more prominent place in her career and continue developing as an artist.
