The Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially published the final list of centres for the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations. The announcement, made on Tuesday, 6 January, was signed by the Board’s Controller of Examinations, Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider.
According to the notification, administrative considerations and a decrease in the number of candidates have led to the cancellation of 17 main examination centres and 221 venue centres across the region. Following these adjustments, the total number of active SSC centres under the Dhaka Board now stands at 507, including seven international centres. District authorities and school heads have been instructed to take the necessary measures based on this revised list.
Several prominent centres have been removed from the schedule. These include:

Edward Institution, Rari Kandi Haji Bari High School, and Charbhaga Bangabandhu Adarsha High School and College.
However, in special consideration of accessibility, four venues in the haor areas of Nikli and Astagram upazilas in Kishoreganj district have been retained.
The Board emphasised that the centre reorganisation was necessary to ensure transparency, maintain administrative discipline, and streamline examination management. For the convenience of students and guardians, the final list has been made publicly available on the Board’s official website. Authorities have urged students to check their centres in advance and complete any required formalities ahead of the examinations to avoid last-minute disruptions.
This centre restructuring reflects the Board’s effort to adapt to changing student distribution and ensure smooth conduct of the 2026 SSC examinations while maintaining fairness and efficiency across all venues.
