Mustafizur’s impact was first felt on Saturday in Dubai against the Gulf Giants. Bowling with trademark cutters and subtle variations of pace, he returned figures of two wickets for 26 runs from his full quota of four overs. Crucially, 13 of his 24 deliveries conceded no runs, stalling the opposition’s momentum during key phases of the innings. His ability to bowl economically without sacrificing wicket-taking threat once again proved vital in the middle overs.

He carried that form seamlessly into the following match against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, where Dubai Capitals produced their most dominant display of the tournament so far. Mustafizur bowled three overs, conceding just 22 runs and picking up two wickets, while delivering 11 dot balls. Across the two matches combined, he bowled 42 balls, with an impressive 24 dot balls — a clear indicator of sustained pressure that forced errors from opposing batters.

Batting first against the Knight Riders, Dubai Capitals posted a commanding 186 for four. The innings was anchored by captain Rovman Powell, who played a sensational knock of 96 from just 52 deliveries, combining power with composure to set up a formidable total.
