Hamas Regains Full Administrative Control Over Gaza

Israeli security agencies have officially acknowledged that the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has made a formidable comeback in Gaza, re-establishing its grip over almost the entire territory. Reports from Israel’s Channel 13 and other international media outlets indicate that security officials recently presented a briefing to the Israeli cabinet, highlighting that Hamas is successfully restructuring its administrative and policing frameworks across the Gaza Strip.

According to these security reports, 13 out of Gaza’s 25 municipalities have already resumed full operations under Hamas’s guidance. The Hamas-affiliated police force has been redeployed to the streets, establishing internal checkpoints and restoring order. The Israeli military views this resurgence as a significant setback to United States-led strategic plans for the region. Analysts suggest that this development poses a direct challenge to the implementation of President Donald Trump’s proposed vision for a post-war Gaza.

The return of Hamas’s security apparatus has been largely welcomed by the local population in Gaza. Following the ceasefire and the subsequent withdrawal of Israeli forces, the region witnessed a surge in looting, rioting, and general lawlessness. However, the presence of Hamas’s internal security teams and patrols has significantly curbed criminal activities. Local businessmen, such as Hazim Saru, noted that the absence of a strong governing body led to chaos, and many residents believe that only Hamas possesses the authority to maintain public safety effectively.

On the diplomatic front, Hamas remains a central figure in ongoing negotiations. Delegations from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey recently convened in Cairo for a second phase of discussions regarding the ceasefire agreement. The meeting, attended by Egyptian and Turkish intelligence chiefs along with the Qatari Prime Minister, focused on the successful implementation of the next stage of the truce between Israel and Hamas. This political and administrative recovery suggests that despite the prolonged conflict, Hamas remains the dominant governing power within the enclave.
