Gold Prices Remain Unchanged in the Domestic Market

Gold prices in Bangladesh have remained unchanged for several consecutive days, following the last adjustment on Friday, 20 November, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). Since that reduction, no further changes have been implemented, and the domestic market continues to trade at the previously announced rates.

On Monday, 24 November, gold was sold at the same prices as before, with BAJUS noting that the price of acid gold (pure gold) had declined earlier. Considering the overall market situation, the association has maintained stability in rates to provide clarity for both consumers and traders.

BAJUS has also reminded consumers that the 5% government-imposed VAT and a minimum 6% making charge set by the association must be added to the sale price of jewellery. The making charges may vary depending on the design, intricacy, and quality of the piece.

Market analysts have observed that the stability in gold and silver prices reflects a period of consolidation after recent fluctuations. Traders have suggested that the lack of price movement may encourage buyers to make purchases without concern for short-term volatility.
