Government Employees Set Nationwide Rally and Long March to Press for Pay Commission Implementation

The Bangladesh Government Employees’ Coordination Council, the country’s largest public-sector workers’ platform, has declared a national rally in Dhaka on Saturday, 6 December, along with a long march towards the Secretariat in the third week of January, demanding implementation of the National Pay Commission’s recommendations and fulfilment of five major demands.

The announcement came on Tuesday, 2 December, during a press briefing held at the council’s central office on Abdul Gani Road in the capital.
