Harry Styles delighted fans this week by revealing not only his latest single, “Aperture”, but also the full tracklist of his eagerly awaited fourth solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. The announcement came in an unexpected and visually striking manner, much to the excitement of his global fanbase.
On Friday, 23 January, fans gathered online to watch the premiere of the “Aperture” music video at noon ET. As the countdown ticked down on YouTube, the video’s placeholder image began changing. One by one, the titles of all 12 songs on the forthcoming album appeared, arranged in a circular spiral design. Minutes before the video went live, the final track, “Carla’s Song”, appeared, completing the elaborate visual reveal.
The graphic confirmed that “Aperture” is not only the lead single from the album but also its opening track. Other song titles that have already caught fans’ attention include “American Girls,” “Season 2 Weight Loss,” “Pop”, and “Dance No More”, hinting at a diverse and experimental record.
Fans had the opportunity to listen to the house-inspired, danceable “Aperture” a day earlier, on Thursday, 22 January, and watched its accompanying music video the following day. However, they will have to wait until 6 March to experience the album in full. This new project arrives over three years after Styles’ previous full-length album, Harry’s House (2022), which spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and further cemented his status as a solo pop powerhouse.
Reflecting on the creation of the album in a recent interview with musician John Mayer, Styles said:
“It just became really obvious that it was music that was meant to be played loud. That is when it feels its best… I hope that people will kind of road test it in a couple of different ways and see how their album experience kind of shifts.”
