Aiming to strengthen business expansion, sustainable growth, and the quality of customer service, IFIC Bank conducted an in-depth review of the operations of its branches in the Chittagong region. The event, titled “IFIC Bank Sub-Branch Business Conference 2026 – Chittagong Region”, took place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at the historic Chittagong Club. Representatives from all regional branches of IFIC Bank attended the day-long conference.
The conference was inaugurated by the Chairman of IFIC Bank, Mr. Md. Mehmud Husain, who also presided over the event as the chief guest. Senior executives including Managing Director Syed Mansur Mostafa, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Business Division Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Regional Manager of Chittagong Region Md. Manjurul Mumin, along with branch managers and officials, were present. The conference focused on reviewing past branch performance, discussing future targets, and formulating strategies for sustainable growth.
In his keynote address, Chairman Md. Mehmud Husain emphasised that the bank’s greatest strength lies in the trust of its customers and the dedication of branch-level staff. He noted the rapidly increasing competition in the banking sector and highlighted the necessity of delivering fast, accurate, and high-quality services at the grassroots level. “Branches serve as the primary pillars of our customer engagement,” he remarked, expressing optimism that IFIC Bank would consolidate its position as a reliable and comprehensive banking service provider in the Chittagong region.
Managing Director Syed Mansur Mostafa stated that the bank’s extensive nationwide branch network is a cornerstone of sustainable business growth. He underlined ongoing initiatives to enhance employee skills, professional development, and the adoption of technology-driven banking services, enabling the bank to meet evolving customer demands more effectively.
During the opening remarks, Deputy Managing Director Md. Rafiqul Islam highlighted current branch performance indicators, emphasising deposit mobilisation, responsible loan disbursement, improved recovery efficiency, and operational profit enhancement. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts in achieving future business targets.
A key segment of the conference was the recognition of outstanding branch performance. Eighteen branches were honoured for significant contributions in deposit mobilisation, loan disbursement and recovery, and operational profitability.
