Dhaka, 14 October: Two of Bangladesh’s most popular rock music figures, James of Nagar Baul and Hasan of Ark, are set to perform on the same stage at ‘Rock N Rhythm 5.0: No Limits in the Zone’, a concert celebrating the country’s vibrant band music scene.
The event will take place on Friday, 16 October, at Carnival Arena in Jamuna Future Park in the capital. The concert is expected to attract rock music fans, particularly those who grew up listening to the popular Bangladeshi bands of the 1990s.
According to a social media announcement by the event organiser, Adventor Communication, the line-up will feature Nagar Baul and Ark alongside three other popular bands: Warfaze, Aurthohin and Shunno.
Guitarist Oni Hasan is also scheduled to make a special appearance with Warfaze. He will perform separately as well, while musician A K Rahul is also expected to take the stage.
James and Hasan have long been recognised as prominent figures in Bangladesh’s rock music scene. Known for his distinctive voice, energetic performances and enduring popularity, James has established himself as one of the country’s leading rock musicians. Hasan, meanwhile, has built a strong following through his work with Ark and his recognisable vocal style.
Their appearance at the same event is likely to be a major attraction for fans of Bangladeshi band music, particularly those nostalgic for the golden era of local rock in the 1990s. The participation of Warfaze, Aurthohin and Shunno will add further variety to the programme, bringing together established bands and different musical styles under one roof.
The organisers have confirmed that all necessary administrative permissions for the concert have been secured.
Advance ticket sales began on Monday, 12 October, through Tickify.live. Tickets have been priced at Tk 999.
With a line-up featuring several well-known names in the country’s rock music scene, ‘Rock N Rhythm 5.0: No Limits in the Zone’ is shaping up to be a notable event for local music enthusiasts. However, the organisers have not provided further details about the performers’ schedules or whether James and Hasan will share the stage for a joint performance.
