The President has removed Supreme Court Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar following a recommendation from the Supreme Judicial Council.
In a gazette issued on Wednesday (5 November), the Ministry of Law stated that Justice Khurshid Alam had become unfit to carry out his judicial duties.
The notification added that his removal was executed under Clause (6) of the reinstated Article 96 of the Constitution.
