Khairul Basar, one of the most recognisable faces on television this Eid, shared his excitement about the festival season and his upcoming projects in a recent interview. Despite being away from home, the actor emphasised that his work keeps him closely connected to audiences.
Eid Celebrations Abroad
“This Eid, I’ll be in Australia,” Basar revealed. “I’m beginning work there from the 25th, so I had to travel a bit early. Even though I won’t be celebrating at home, my projects ensure I remain close to viewers.”
A Festive Line-Up of Projects
This Eid promises a busy schedule for Basar, with multiple releases across various channels. Key projects include Bheja Chokh, Dear Family, Jolkouri, and Agle Rekho Amay. In total, he expects eight to ten works to air.
| Project Title | Co-stars | Production Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Bheja Chokh | – | Basar’s personal favourite |
| Dear Family | Sunerah Binte Kamal | Strong on-set collaboration |
| Jolkouri | – | Highly anticipated drama |
| Agle Rekho Amay | – | Close to Basar’s heart |
| Motshokonnya | Safa Kabir | Included physically demanding sea and pool scenes |
| Projects with Payel & Totini | – | Diverse performances |
| Eta Amaderi Golpo | – | 52-episode series, warmly embraced by audiences |
Challenging but Rewarding Roles
Basar highlighted Motshokonnya as a particularly memorable experience. “We literally jumped into the sea, and some underwater scenes were filmed in a pool. It was physically demanding but exhilarating,” he said. He also praised his experience in Dear Family with Sunerah Binte Kamal for the warmth of collaboration.
Connection with the Audience
Basar’s ongoing series, Eta Amaderi Golpo, has struck a chord with viewers. “The audience has embraced my character in ways I didn’t expect,” he said. “Children even recognise me now. Parents bring them over to take photos with ‘Samir’, and seeing their excitement makes all the hard work worthwhile.”
Special Eid Episodes
For Eid, a longer episode of Eta Amaderi Golpo is planned, with another special potentially airing next year. “It’s not exactly a second season, but a standalone special featuring the same beloved family,” Basar explained.
Upcoming Work in Australia
Basar is set to collaborate with Rubel Hasan on two projects in Australia—a romantic comedy and a love story, both co-starring Totini. “We’re finalising the scripts, and working with a local cinematographer should bring a fresh visual style to the projects,” he added.
With a packed festive line-up and an enduring connection with audiences, Khairul Basar continues to cement his position as one of the most loved television actors of his generation.
