The speakers were unanimous in their condemnation of the US operation, labelling the abduction of a sovereign nation’s elected leader a “terrorist act” that shatters the foundations of international law. They also directed sharp criticism toward the current interim government of Bangladesh for its perceived passivity on the matter.
