After a prolonged hiatus, celebrated singer Mila and acclaimed composer–music arranger Fuad Al Muqtadir have reunited in the studio, rekindling one of Bangladesh’s most recognisable modern music partnerships. The duo, once responsible for several chart-topping hits that remain deeply embedded in listeners’ memories, has returned with a fresh collaborative project that has already generated significant excitement within the music industry.
Their earlier collaborations—such as “Tumi Ki Sada Dibe”, “Bapuram Sapure”, and “Rupbano Nache Komor Duliya”—helped define a distinct era in contemporary Bangla music, blending experimental sound design with catchy melodic structures and strong vocal delivery. After years apart, their reunion is being viewed not only as a creative comeback but also as a nostalgic revival for long-time fans.
The new release, titled “Kandari Cholo”, is scheduled to be unveiled tomorrow. The song has been specially produced in alignment with the knockout stage of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, aiming to capture the intensity, passion, and emotional highs associated with global football. According to its creators, the track blends energetic rhythms with anthemic elements designed to resonate with sports enthusiasts and general audiences alike.
Mila described the collaboration as one of the most meaningful phases of her musical journey, noting that working again with Fuad brought back memories of their earlier creative chemistry. She added that the enduring popularity of their past songs continues to inspire her artistic choices. The singer also emphasised that the new track represents more than a musical production—it symbolises friendship, shared history, and artistic reunion.
Fuad Al Muqtadir echoed similar sentiments, stating that revisiting collaboration with Mila after so many years felt like rediscovering a familiar creative language. He highlighted that football served as a universal emotional theme, rather than a message tied to any specific team or nation. In his view, the sport represents aspiration, unity, competition, and joy—values that align naturally with the spirit of the composition.
Although Fuad has since returned to the United States after completing production, both artists have expressed interest in continuing their collaboration on future projects. There is also anticipation that they may appear together at live events following the song’s release.
The accompanying music video for “Kandari Cholo” has already been completed under the direction of Miraj Hossain. The production features a diverse lineup of vocal and performance artists, including Pantha Kanai, Bammy, Sanjana, Nigerian artist Oliboy, and rhythm specialist Black Jang. The lyrics have been jointly written by Tiger Chowdhury, Mahbub Morshed, Oliboy, and Black Jang.
