Mild heat wave may continue in seven districts, The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in seven districts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing at 9am today. “Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Pabna, Sirajganj, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga, and Barishal and it may continue,” said the bulletin.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over the Rangpur division; at many places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the northern part of the country, it added.
However, the day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga while the minimum temperature today was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded at 78 mm at Sylhet.
