The victim, Sajib Hossain, 30, son of Munser Ali and a resident of North Putail village under Putail Union, was fatally wounded during the incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday. Investigators are initially treating the killing as the possible outcome of a long-standing feud, although officials have stressed that the exact motive will only be confirmed after a full investigation.

According to local sources and police, Sajib was staying at the residence of Lutfar Rahman in North Putail village when the attack occurred. At approximately 1:30 a.m., a large group estimated to comprise between 100 and 150 individuals reportedly arrived at the property. Witnesses claimed that several members of the group were armed with sharp weapons and forcibly entered the premises before launching an assault.

Residents familiar with the incident said the attackers appeared to have specifically targeted Sajib. He sustained multiple severe injuries from sharp weapons and was declared dead at the scene.
