In Shibchar, Madaripur, a special operation by a mobile court was conducted at Panchchar Gol Chattar on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway under the supervision of Shibchar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Shaikha Sultana.
During the operation on Tuesday (11 November) evening, fines totalling BDT 55,000 were imposed on two trucks and fifteen motorcycles. Additionally, two Noha vehicles were inspected, leading to the seizure of 20 rounds of ammunition and two shotguns.
Vehicle documents were checked during the operation, and fines were imposed through the mobile court to maintain road discipline.
Shaikha Sultana stated, “The operation was carried out to ensure that normal traffic movement is not disrupted and to maintain order on the roads. Due to violations of the law, two shotguns and 20 rounds of ammunition were seized from a Noha vehicle and sent to Shibchar Police Station. Such operations will continue regularly in the future.”
Officer-in-Charge of Shibchar Police Station, Rokibul Islam, said, “The seized shotguns and ammunition have been sent to the police station. Necessary legal action will be taken after verifying the licenses. The seizure was made due to breaches of public order.”
Members of law enforcement were present during the operation. Awareness messages were distributed among pedestrians following the operation.
