The suspect, identified as Firoz Kabir, was caught in possession of contraband items during a targeted raid. Senior police officials have confirmed that the individual in question possesses a prior criminal record, which includes at least two separate active indictments relating to drug trafficking offences within the region.
The law enforcement operation was executed on Tuesday evening, 19 May, at approximately 09:00 pm. A specialised deployment team from the Phulchhari Police Station successfully neutralised and detained the suspect in the Gunbhari locality, which falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the Phulchhari Upazila.
