Details of the Incident
The incident occurred at approximately 12:00 PM on Friday, near a timber mill where the victim was employed. Raju Mondol, the son of Nur Hossain Mondol, hailed from South Bamni village in the Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha district. He had moved to the Sirajganj region for work, serving as a labourer at the local mill.
According to eyewitnesses and local police reports, Raju was crossing the road directly in front of his workplace when a bus operated by Zenin Paribahan—travelling at high speed from Sirajganj towards the capital, Dhaka—ran him over.
