World-renowned girl group Pussycat Dolls have confirmed that the decision to exclude some original members from their forthcoming reunion tour was made to “protect our peace.”
Earlier this month, the group announced their return in a three-member formation comprising Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt, as part of celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of their 2005 debut album PCD.
However, original member Carmit Bachar, who was part of the first line-up alongside Scherzinger, Roberts, Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton, revealed she had not been invited to join the reunion. Bachar stated that she only learned about the plans “alongside the public” and described the exclusion as personally disappointing. “My history is with this brand, so I should have been informed directly—but that didn’t happen,” she said.
In a joint interview on the Today Show, Scherzinger, Wyatt, and Roberts addressed the controversy. Scherzinger commented, “We are navigating life as women in the spotlight, balancing personal and professional choices.” Wyatt added, “Line-ups evolve over time. In 2026, this is our formation. Our priority is to maintain harmony. The history of Pussycat Dolls is long, and while there were divisions in the past, we are now focused on repairing them.” Scherzinger also emphasised, “We hold love and respect for all former members. Once a Doll, always a Doll.”
The group’s 53-day reunion tour will commence in June in North America. Rapper Lil’ Kim and singer Maya will appear as special guests during select shows. In September, nine performances are scheduled across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with Kim supporting. The tour will conclude on 13 October at London’s O2 Arena.
