An Ansar member named Zeneral was arrested by Biman Bangladesh Airlines security personnel while attempting to smuggle mobile phones from the import cargo complex at Shahjalal International Airport. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at Gate 8 of the airport. During the arrest, at least 15 mobile phones were recovered hidden in his boots, trousers, and shirt.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines official responsible for cargo security confirmed that Zeneral was on duty at the cargo complex. His suspicious movements were noticed while exiting through the hangar gate, leading to the discovery of the hidden phones. It is believed that accomplices were waiting outside to receive the phones.
Legal action will be taken against Zeneral if the allegations are confirmed.
