Renowned Bangladeshi actor and National Film Award recipient Shams Sumon, once a familiar face on television screens, had his first funeral prayers held on Wednesday, 18 March, at 11:00 am. Shams Sumon passed away on Tuesday, 17 March, in the evening at a private hospital in Dhaka. Reports confirm that his family, currently in the United Kingdom, is on its way to Bangladesh. The burial is scheduled to take place at the family graveyard in Rajshahi once his relatives arrive. Until then, the actor’s body will be preserved in the cold storage facility at CMH in Dhaka.
