Three Buses Catch Fire in Dhaka at Midnight

Three buses caught fire in Dhaka at midnight. Two buses of Raida Transport and one bus of Rajdhani Transport were completely damaged internally by the flames.

The incidents occurred at three separate locations on Monday night (10 November). According to the Fire Service control room, a Raida Transport bus caught fire at Jatrabari, a Rajdhani Transport bus at Rayerbagh, and another Raida Transport bus at Uttara Khalpar. Fire Service teams promptly reached all three locations upon receiving reports and extinguished the fires.

The Fire Service reported that the bus at Rayerbagh was set on fire at 1:00 am, the one at Jatrabari at 2:00 am, and the bus at Sonargaon Khalpar at 4:00 am. All the buses were parked at the roadside at the time of the fire. Fortunately, no casualties occurred in these incidents.

Locals reported that around 1:00 am, they noticed the stationary Raida Transport bus on fire. They immediately attempted to put out the fire and contacted the Fire Service via 999. Firefighters arrived and controlled the blaze, but by then the interior of the buses had already been extensively damaged.
