The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a formal notification dismissing three Assistant Commissioners (Executive Magistrates) from government service. The announcement, made on Wednesday, comes immediately after the officers completed their basic training.
The dismissed officers are:
Anup Kumar Biswas from Bogra
Nabomita Sarker from Pirojpur
Kazi Arifur Rahman from Faridpur
According to the notification, the removal of these officers has been carried out under Rule 6(2)(a) of the Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules, 1981. Any financial dues or payments owed to the government by the officers during their tenure will be recovered in accordance with the Public Demand Recovery Act, 1913.
Interestingly, all three officers completed their basic training on the same day they were dismissed, raising questions about the timing of the decision. The notification did not disclose specific reasons for the dismissals, leaving the matter unclear to the public and colleagues in the civil service.
Experts note that such dismissals are rare immediately after training completion, and observers are awaiting further clarification from the Ministry regarding the grounds for removal. The affected officers will also be ineligible for any future appointments within the Bangladesh Civil Service unless the decision is overturned through appeal or legal proceedings.
The Ministry has emphasised that the decision is final and will be executed strictly according to existing civil service rules. Meanwhile, government officials have been instructed to ensure that any recovery of dues is processed promptly under the Public Demand Recovery Act.
A summary of the dismissed officers is outlined below:
| Name | District | Status | Notes |

| Nabomita Sarker | Pirojpur | Dismissed | Basic training completed on day of dismissal |
| Kazi Arifur Rahman | Faridpur | Dismissed | Basic training completed on day of dismissal |
The Ministry has not yet responded to requests for further information regarding whether the dismissals were related to disciplinary matters, performance issues, or administrative reasons.
