Bangladesh’s iconic rock-metal band, Warfaze, has announced a temporary suspension of their highly anticipated “Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour,” a nationwide celebration of four decades of musical excellence. Following a string of triumphant performances across the United States, Australia, and Canada, the sudden postponement of the tour in their homeland has left fans across Bangladesh deeply disappointed.
In an official statement, the band said, “Dear fans, our ‘Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour’ was successfully completed in the United States in 2024, in Australia earlier this year, and in Canada during September and October. We had intended to launch a nationwide tour across Bangladesh from the end of October, culminating in a special gala concert in January. Discussions with multiple event management agencies were concluded, numerous artists were eager to participate, and sponsorships were secured. However, due to the current situation in the country, obtaining the necessary permissions has proven impossible. Many concerts are being postponed or cancelled at short notice, creating significant challenges for both artists and organisers. Considering these circumstances, we do not believe it is feasible or prudent to proceed with the concerts at this time.”
The statement continued, “We remain hopeful that by the end of next year, conditions will improve, allowing us to plan new concerts. We sincerely apologise to our devoted fans for being unable to hold the nationwide tour and gala concert at this moment.”
Warfaze has been a cornerstone of the Bangladeshi music scene for forty years, having celebrated this milestone on 6 June last year. Throughout their career, the band has retained widespread popularity through live performances, album releases, and special events across the country. The “Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour” was designed to commemorate and showcase the band’s extraordinary journey, honouring both their enduring musical achievements and their loyal fanbase.
While the temporary suspension is undeniably disappointing, it has not dampened the enthusiasm of their followers. Music aficionados eagerly await updates, hopeful that Warfaze will soon resume live performances and continue celebrating their remarkable legacy. Fans remain steadfast, anticipating a future where the band can once again deliver the electrifying performances that have cemented their legendary status in Bangladesh and beyond.
