Zenith Islamic Life Expands Coverage to Comilla University

Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC has further broadened its group life and health insurance portfolio by formally including Comilla University (CU) under its comprehensive coverage scheme. This expansion brings the total number of universities benefiting from the company’s group insurance programme to eight, reinforcing its commitment to providing financial security and healthcare support to academic institutions across Bangladesh.

The formal agreement was signed on Monday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of Comilla University, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Haidar Ali. Representing the university, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Solaiman affixed his signature, while Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, S. M. Nuruzzaman.

Under the terms of the agreement, all teaching staff, administrative officers, and other employees of Comilla University will receive life and health insurance benefits as per the prescribed policy conditions. University officials emphasised that this initiative will offer crucial financial protection to staff and provide timely assistance for medical emergencies, thereby enhancing the overall welfare of the university community.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior university officials including Registrar (Additional Charge) Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Professor Dr. Dulal Chandra Nandi, deans of various faculties, Deputy Director (Accounts) Md. Nasir Uddin, and Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Khan (Sohaq), head of the Medical Centre, alongside other distinguished academics and administrative staff.

Representing Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC were Organisation Head Md. Abdul Kader, Vice President and Head of Group Insurance Md. Anwar Hossain Sarkar, General Manager Md. Nasir Uddin Majumdar, and other senior executives. Both parties expressed satisfaction over the agreement, highlighting the strengthened protection it provides to the university’s employees and their families.
