The honorees are Golam Arif Tipu, a language veteran and advocate for valiant freedom fighters (Public Prosecution). Liberation War hero Badiuzzaman Tunu, professor Kayesh Uddin (education), Sharmili Ahmed (drama and film), Monjushree Roy (music), and Somor Paul (Archeology).

Yesterday evening, the Rajshahi Association hosted a reception for prize winners at its conference center in the city. Deputy Commissioner and President of the Rajshahi Association Abdul Jalil presided over the ceremony, which was addressed by RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar, respectively.
Prof. Rahmat Ali, a drama and film personality, and Prof. Wahida Mallik Jolly also spoke, while Dr. Tasiqul Islam Raja, the general secretary of the Rajshahi Association, welcomed the attendees. Mayor Liton thanked the Rajshahi Association for honoring the notable individuals and predicted that the practice will continue in the years to come.
Additionally, he stated that he intended to work in the field of establishing Rajshahi City Museum and Archive and Art Gallery. Rajshahi City Corporation, Rajshahi University, and Rajshahi Association, according to Mayor Liton, should step up and collaborate to advance Rajshahi as a whole.
