The victims have been identified as Swadhin and Fahim, both residents of the Chhotokalibari district within the town. According to local police reports, the two youths were travelling home from the town centre on a motorcycle at approximately 11:00 pm.
As they navigated the Bottala sector, the rider apparently lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle veered off the road and struck a brick wall with significant force, throwing both occupants onto the pavement. In-charge of the Tangail General Hospital police box, Alamgir Hossain, confirmed the fatalities to the press. He noted that upon arrival at the emergency department, the duty doctors conducted an immediate assessment but were forced to pronounce both men dead on arrival.
