Tragedy struck the village of Dharmapur in Paba Upazila, Rajshahi District, when the body of 11-year-old schoolboy Adib was recovered from a paddy field on Monday morning at approximately 7:00 am. Adib had been reported missing nearly 11 hours earlier, leaving the local community in shock and fear.

Habibur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Karnahar Police Station, confirmed that Adib’s body had been sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy. “The exact cause of death will only be determined after the post-mortem. All possibilities, including foul play, are being thoroughly investigated,” he said.
Adib’s family has indicated that they will formally lodge a case with the relevant police station. Authorities have assured that the matter is being taken seriously and have increased security measures to reassure the community.
