The tragic incident occurred at approximately 9:15 am near Shibganj Bazar on the Gafargaon-Bhaluka highway. Sakib was a resident of South Dolly Har village, Hosenpur police station, Kishoreganj.

According to preliminary reports, Sakib was stationed at the roadside with his rickshaw when a speeding lorry ran over him. Local residents managed to halt the lorry, apprehending the helper, Roni, while the driver fled the scene. Police from Gafargaon Police Station later recovered Sakib’s body and took the helper into custody for questioning.
