In a decisive crackdown in Joydebpur, Gazipur district, a joint special operation by the police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) resulted in the arrest of prominent drug dealer Md. Al Amin Hossain. According to local police sources, the arrest took place late on Tuesday night (10 March 2026) in the Noyonpur area, adjacent to the Rajendrapur Cantonment. The joint task force executed a carefully planned operation to apprehend him without incident.
Al Amin, a resident of Fawgan Bonkuria village under Shreepur Police Station, is the son of the late Nurul Islam. Police reports indicate that he has been involved in the illicit yaba trade in the region for an extended period. Speaking to reporters, Officer-in-Charge Tarikul Islam stated, “The operation was based on precise intelligence. From Al Amin’s residence, we seized 3,755 yaba tablets and 511,460 Bangladeshi Taka in cash.”
