Following a ten-month absence from live performances, the popular Bangladeshi rock band Artcell are set to return to the stage with an upcoming concert tour of Canada this September. The band, who traditionally maintain a demanding domestic and international touring schedule, had been on an unannounced six-month hiatus from public performances. Their last live appearance was recorded in November during an international tour of Australia.
Tour Schedule and Restructuring
The Canadian tour is scheduled to begin on 13 September in the city of Vancouver. Iqbal Asif Jewel, the band’s guitarist, confirmed that negotiations are currently taking place regarding additional performances in major Canadian cities, specifically Toronto and Calgary. The final itinerary will be communicated via Artcell’s official Facebook page once the bookings are confirmed. The band intend to showcase a repertoire consisting of their classic tracks alongside newly composed material.
The temporary suspension of Artcell’s concert activities was initiated after their November Australia tour due to the death of the mother of lead vocalist Lincoln. Following this bereavement, the singer relocated to the United States to reside with his brother. Jewel confirmed that this family loss, alongside several secondary factors, led to the performance hiatus.
Lincoln has now arrived in Canada to manage technical discussions with local event promoters. Additionally, bassist Cezanne will travel from Australia to participate in the tour, ensuring the band fields their complete official line-up for the Canadian audience.

Studio Releases and Documentary Production
Before embarking on their Australian tour last November, Artcell published the first two tracks from their latest Extended Play (EP) album, entitled Choturthangsho. These individual songs, titled ‘O Akash’ and ‘Ekti Notun Gaan’, were officially released in October. The remaining two tracks from the EP, titled ‘Biday Kibhabe Janai’ and ‘Jani Bhul Korechi’, are completed and awaiting public distribution.
According to institutional statements from the band, the completion of the four-track audio release will be followed by the launch of an official documentary titled The Making of Choturthangsho. This visual production will formally chronicle the creative background, lyrical development, and studio engineering processes behind the album.
