According to family members, Shahed left home around 6:00 PM on Monday and never returned. Relatives and friends conducted a frantic search throughout the night but failed to locate him. Subsequently, the family lodged a General Diary (GD) with Rangunia Police Station.
On Tuesday morning, local residents spotted a body floating in the pond and immediately alerted the authorities. Police retrieved the body, which was later formally identified by the family. Witnesses at the scene described the atmosphere as overwhelmingly sorrowful.
Rangunia Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Md. Arman Hossain, told reporters, “Preliminary investigation suggests this was a premeditated murder. The body shows clear evidence of a throat injury. We are working swiftly to identify those responsible and take legal action.” He added that the investigation is being conducted with the full cooperation of local residents and the victim’s family.
Local residents have described the killing as “extremely brutal and heart-wrenching.” While the motive behind the murder remains unclear, police have confirmed that all possible leads are being thoroughly examined to bring the perpetrators to justice.
