The application process for leadership positions in private educational institutions—including Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Principal, Vice-Principal, Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendent—has been postponed. Originally scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, the process will now begin on Thursday, 5 February 2026.
The Private Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) announced in a statement that on 2 February 2026, the Ministry of Education’s Technical and Madrasa Education Division issued the updated staffing structures and MPO (Monthly Pay Order) policy for 2026 for the Madrasa Directorate and the Technical Education Directorate. Consequently, NTRCA’s online application platform for the 8th NTRCA Recruitment Examination 2026 for institutional heads and deputy heads is undergoing necessary updates, necessitating the brief delay in the application timeline.
Appointments to the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher positions will be made entirely through a competitive examination. According to the NTRCA notification, a total of 13,599 posts are vacant across three directorates: 10,278 under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), 3,131 under the Madrasa Education Directorate, and 140 under the Technical Education Directorate.
