Austrian Influencer Piper Was Buried in a Forest After Being Killed

Police in Austria have detained the former boyfriend of prominent content creator and beauty influencer Stefanie Piper, 31, in connection with her killing. Austrian media reports stated that following the murder, Piper’s former partner allegedly placed her body inside a suitcase and buried it in a forest in Slovenia.

According to details provided by the Styrian State Police, Piper disappeared on 23 November after returning home from a party that night. She had first informed a friend that she had arrived home safely, then sent another message shortly afterwards saying that someone was hiding in the stairwell.

Local media, quoting neighbours, reported that they heard arguing on the night of the murder and believe they saw Piper’s former boyfriend inside the building. The next day, when her family and colleagues were unable to reach her, a missing person report was filed.

Police said that Piper’s former boyfriend was arrested in Slovenia and was found beside his burning vehicle in the parking area of a casino. The investigation revealed that he had travelled to Slovenia several times by car.

A report by Austria’s Kronen Zeitung stated that, after being returned to Austria, the suspect admitted to the killing during interrogation. He told officers that he had suffocated Piper, placed her body in a suitcase and buried it in the forest, later guiding police to the burial site.

The Styrian State Police also reported that two male relatives of the accused had been arrested on suspicion of assisting in the crime.

Piper was a beauty influencer who was known for producing content related to makeup, fashion and music.
