Two Killed in Truck-Auto Rickshaw Collision in Sarail

In Sarail, Brahmanbaria, a collision between a truck and a battery-operated auto rickshaw early Friday morning at around 6:15 am claimed the lives of two people. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.

According to police and eyewitnesses, the truck, carrying cargo from Jessore, was heading towards Habiganj. Due to traffic congestion, the vehicle took the Sarail-Nasirnagar-Lakhaibari route. The collision occurred in Bodda Para, Sarail, when the truck and the auto rickshaw met head-on, killing the auto rickshaw driver and one passenger on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge Murshedul Alam of Sarail Police Station confirmed that the bodies were recovered and the truck driver has been detained. A case is currently under investigation.
