Boesel Announces Recruitment of 131 Female Garment Workers For Jordan

The Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (Boesel) has announced a state-managed recruitment drive to send 131 skilled female garment workers to Jordan. The selected candidates will be employed at Tusker Apparel, a well-regarded garment manufacturing company operating in the Middle Eastern nation. According to the official circular issued by Boesel, interested candidates must register online ahead of the mandatory walk-in interviews and practical trade tests scheduled in Dhaka on Friday, 3 July 2026.

As the sole state-owned manpower exporting agency in Bangladesh, Boesel is facilitating this initiative to ensure a secure, transparent, and low-cost migration process for female professionals in the textile sector. The vacancies are strictly open to female machine operators who possess practical experience in operating both plain and overlock sewing machines. Eligible applicants must be between 20 and 35 years of age.

Successful candidates will receive a basic monthly salary of 22,500 Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). The standard working schedule consists of eight hours per day, six days a week, with provision for overtime allowances in accordance with Jordanian labour laws. The initial employment contract spans three years and is subject to renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement, the employer will fully sponsor the migration costs, including the airfare from Bangladesh to Jordan at the start of the contract and the return ticket upon completion of the three-year tenure. Tusker Apparel will also provide complimentary accommodation, meals, primary medical care, and daily transport to the workplace. Crucially, this specific recruitment cycle targets individuals who have previously worked at Tusker Apparel in Jordan, allowing returning workers an opportunity to re-enter the workforce.

Conversely, individuals facing criminal charges or ongoing legal disputes in Bangladesh or Jordan will be disqualified. Candidates holding multiple passports must present all original documents during the evaluation. To support vulnerable migrant groups, Boesel will grant recruitment priority to skilled female labourers who recently returned home after being displaced from war-torn regions.

The migration expenses for the candidates are minimal, as the employing company covers the major administrative fees. Selected individuals are only required to pay BDT 1,000 for the mandatory medical examination, alongside BDT 220 for the Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) training and fingerprint registration. These minor fees are to be cleared just prior to departure, once the work visa has been officially approved.

The direct interviews and practical trade tests will take place at 8:00 am on Friday, 3 July 2026, at the Bangladesh Korea Technical Training Centre (BKTTC) located on Darus Salam Road in Mirpur, Dhaka. Candidates must report to the venue with four recent passport-sized coloured photographs, their original passport, and necessary photocopies of their documentation. Presenting a printed curriculum vitae (CV) or biography is not required for this practical assessment.

Boesel has clarified that submitting an online registration form does not guarantee an interview slot or employment, as final selection rests entirely upon passing the rigorous practical machine test. The online application fee is set at BDT 100.

Prospective workers are strongly advised to remain vigilant against fraudulent intermediaries. Boesel operates without any external agents or sub-agents, and the state agency handles the entire selection and deployment process through its official channels. Candidates must not make cash payments to any individuals claiming to represent the recruitment authority.
