BRAC Bank Showcases Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition

BRAC Bank has inaugurated the fourth edition of the “Tara Entrepreneur Fair 2026”, a three-day exhibition dedicated to promoting women-led businesses across Bangladesh. The fair’s primary objective is to provide a platform for female entrepreneurs to showcase locally made products while creating sustainable market opportunities for their ventures. According to a press release from the bank, this initiative reflects BRAC Bank’s steadfast commitment to supporting women’s leadership in business.

The exhibition opened on 27 February 2026 and will run until 1 March 2026, operating daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Aloki Convention Centre on the Tejgaon–Gulshan Link Road. Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s fair aims to offer broader market access to women entrepreneurs and strengthen their visibility among consumers.

The opening ceremony was attended by Meheriar M. Hasan, Chairman of BRAC Bank, along with independent directors Lila Rashid and Anita Gazi Rahman. Senior executives including Tarek Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO, and Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking, also participated in the inaugural event.

A total of 88 women entrepreneurs from across Bangladesh are taking part in the fair, presenting products spanning handicrafts, textiles, food, and beauty services. These products not only preserve local traditions but also contribute to integrated economic development. BRAC Bank has provided free stall facilities to all participants, enabling them to reach a wider audience.

The exhibition features a rich assortment of items, including Jamdani and Muslin garments, handwoven boutique textiles, pottery, jute, bamboo, and rattan crafts, leather goods, organic beauty products, and traditional foods. A special Eid-themed iftar and dinner food court has also been introduced to enliven the fair atmosphere.

In addition, to enhance digital financial inclusion, the fair has implemented a QR code-based digital payment system. Shoppers using QR payments can receive up to 20% discount, encouraging female entrepreneurs to participate in the cashless economy.
