“Seven together, we can do anything,” declares RM, leader of the global K-pop sensation BTS, in the voiceover of Netflix’s newly released trailer for their upcoming live-stream concert. The teaser, unveiled worldwide via Netflix, has reignited excitement among BTS fans, known collectively as ARMY.
The acclaimed South Korean supergroup BTS comprises Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. After a hiatus primarily taken to fulfil their mandatory military service, the seven-member ensemble is making a highly anticipated return with a new album titled Arirang, set for release in March. Fans around the globe are eagerly awaiting the group’s first major performance in several years.
Netflix will exclusively broadcast “BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang” on 21 March. The live stream will emanate from Seoul’s iconic Gwanghwamun district, offering viewers a spectacular backdrop of the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace. While the trailer keeps the concert details largely under wraps, it provides glimpses of heartfelt moments designed to excite loyal followers.
Speaking in the trailer, 28-year-old Jung Kook reflects, “It’s very emotional. I’ve truly missed our fans.” Meanwhile, 30-year-old Jimin adds, “Let’s get back on stage!” RM’s voice reinforces the sentiment: “We promised our fans we would return.” The teaser concludes with a snippet of the group’s 2019 hit, Mikrokosmos, stirring nostalgia and anticipation alike.
Following the live event, Netflix will release an intimate documentary, “BTS: The Return,” on 27 March, providing fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the album’s creation and the group’s reunion.
