A deeply disturbing incident in Alfadanga Upazila under Faridpur District has sparked widespread outrage after a ten-year-old madrasa student was allegedly subjected to violent abuse involving a cattle rope, leaving him seriously injured and currently under medical care.
The victim, identified as Md. Tamim Biswas, a 10-year-old student of the Nazera section at a local madrasa and orphanage, is now receiving treatment after sustaining injuries to his neck, face, and multiple parts of his body.
The incident reportedly took place on Thursday around 5:00 p.m. in the field of the Joint Markazul Quran Madrasa and Orphanage located in the Nawapara Kuchiyagram area. According to local accounts, tensions arose when a cow grazing within the madrasa premises damaged newly planted saplings.
As the child attempted to move and tether the animal away from the plants, an altercation allegedly occurred with a local man, resulting in a shocking act of violence. Eyewitnesses claim that the accused, identified as Kausar Miah (50), tied a cattle rope around the child’s neck and waist before forcing the animal to move rapidly.
The cow reportedly bolted, dragging the child along with it. In the process, the boy was thrown violently against a young tree before falling to the ground. He sustained a deep injury to his neck and multiple abrasions and bruises across his face and body.
The victim’s father, Moshier Rahman, had passed away earlier, and the child had been residing at the madrasa as an orphan while continuing his studies.
